Old Scroll Gear
The Ranger Bn "Old Scroll" was the initial unit patch for the 1st and 2d Ranger Bn established in 1974.
The 1st Battalion was activated under the 75th Infantry Regiment (Ranger) on 31 January 1974. The 2d Ranger Bn was activated later in the year Oct 1974.
The unit patches were worn up until 1984 when the newly established 75th Ranger Regimental Headquarters and 3d Ranger Bn were activated Oct 1984.
